The following rules are required by the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. The fees associated with camping are collected by the Fairgrounds Staff at the Vendor's Gate and are not part of the Rhinebeck Grand National Super Meet nor are they included in the Rhinebeck Grand National Super Meet Vending Fees.

Overview:

  • Rules for Vendors Camping at Vendor Spots: Vendors desiring to camp in tents, vans, pickup trucks, or vehicle trailers at their Vending Spot may do so at no charge. However, Vendors with RVs/Campers/Motor Homes in their Vending Spot must pay $25 a night.
     
  • RV Camping With Electric/Water Hookups are Available: AMCA Members with Campers/Motor Homes may park in one of the two RV Hookup Areas. New for 2011: AMCA Members may make pre-paid RV Camping reservations with the Dutchess County Fairgrounds for $30 a night. The cost increases to $50 if you pay upon arrival. Space is assigned on a first-come/first-serve basis. AMCA Members may download the form (http://rhinebecknationalmeet.com/pdf/dcf_camping_form_2011.pdf), complete it, print it, sign it, and mail it with payment directly to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds office (not AMCA).
     
  • Tent Camping: AMCA Members may camp in tents in the Tent Camping Area, may not be reserved in advance, and costs $15 per person for the weekend. Restrooms and showers are adjacent to the Tent Camping Area.
     


Dutchess County Fairgrounds Camper Regulations

The following rules and fees are required by the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. The fees are collected by the Fairgrounds Staff at the Vendor's Gate. These rules and fees were agreed upon by the Coalition of Northeast Chapters and the Dutchess County Fairgrounds and are enforced by Dutchess County Fairgrounds.

  1. Camping is only from Thursday, June 9 to leave not later than 10AM on Monday, June 13, 2011.
  2. RV Camping Fee is $30.00/night pre-paid ($50/night on arrival) and includes electric, showers and water (no septic hookups). Septic dumping will be available for an additional $40.
  3. Camping Fees for Vendors camping with RVs in their vending spots is $25.00/night with limited electric hookups.
  4. Tent Camping for AMCA Members costs $15 for the whole weekend and includes showers and bathrooms.
  5. No tents allowed outside the Tent Camping Area; must be within 300 ft of bathrooms/port-a-johns (NY State Regulations).
  6. Non-Camping Vendor electric is limited in some spots and costs $25.00 for the whole weekend.
  7. No Pets: Pets are not allowed inside the Fairgrounds at any time. However, guests with disabilities may be accompanied by guide animals with proper identification. Also, pets can be housed inside campers’ travel trailers parked in an RV Hookup Area; they cannot be left chained and unattended outside. All pets must have valid & current rabies vaccinations.
  8. Awnings must be 5 feet away from neighboring awning or camper. Awnings cannot be out all the way if there is not enough room or they may not be put out at all.
  9. No liquids of any kind are to be dumped or poured onto the ground.
  10. Please make sure all hose fittings are tight to prevent leaks or sprays (strictly enforced).
  11. No open fires. However, use of small charcoal grills or camp stoves may be tolerated if safely used away from motor vehicles.
  12. Vacuum breakers must be left on water spigots.
Anyone caught violating the above rules will be asked to leave immediately. The above regulations are imposed by the Dutchess County Department of Health. The campers will be charged a $1000.00 fee for any violation that is incurred within the camping area. The camper registrant will be responsible for paying this fee.
